3 Days in Paradise…Venice

For those of you who were waiting on my tips and suggestions….well here they are. It is available in Kindle and paperback. Here’s the link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CVNHNW5K

This is my first attempt at writing (other than these blogs and the newsletters). So I am anxious to hear what you think. I am writing for those of you who truly appreciate Venice for the lovely old lady she is and understand that lovely old ladies deserve respect. It is not a hit and run city. It is not an amusement park. Treat it like you would your elderly aunt.

Venice thrives on tourism, but that comes with a lot of baggage (pun intended). This past year has seen tourism in the extreme. Young kids carving their initials at the colosseum in Rome, a tourist in a rental car driving down the Spanish Steps in Rome and fights in Venice.

I have shared some of my favorite restaurants, bars, coffee shops. (And don’t you even dare think about going to the Starbucks in Venice, I will haunt you!) Why anyone would choose to drink a Starbucks is beyond me. True, the barista will be super fast….because it is an Italian working there. And I shared some of my favorite shops, masks shops where you can also take a lesson. Shops where you can buy Murano Glass while being charmed by a real live Muranese whose father owned furnaces.

I recommended Museums and “skip-the-line” passes and why I buy the yearly passes (hint: it has a lot to do with having bathrooms and they are clean, large and you don’t have to explain to anyone what you are doing). I tell you how to get the best views of Venice.

And this is all in just 3 days. Imagine when I write the book of 7 days or when I tell you about day trips outside the city, or how to taste wine in the Veneto.

So check it out and leave me reviews, tell me what I need to do to make it better.
